Wollongong - CBP 2026
Community Building Partnership (CBP) 2026 Grant Program - Wollongong
Welcome to the CBP 2026 Program for the Electoral District of Wollongong. This program provides an opportunity for local community organisations and councils to strengthen the wellbeing of NSW communities through small local infrastructure projects.
The local Member of Parliament (MP) has prepared the below summary of the electoral district priorities to provide guidance to applicants considering lodging an Expression of Interest (EOI) for 2026 CBP funding in the electoral district of Wollongong.
Electoral District Priorities
The Wollongong electorate is characterised by a large and fast-growing population, with strong growth projected to continue over the next two decades. It is a vibrant and culturally diverse community, although some areas experience higher than average levels of social and economic disadvantage.
Priorities for CBP funding in the Wollongong electorate include:
- Upgrading sporting and recreational facilities, with a focus on improved drainage, lighting, accessibility, and changeroom amenities.
- Supporting projects that encourage active lifestyles and foster shared community engagement.
- Implementing initiatives that promote environmental sustainability, energy efficiency and strengthen responses to climate change.
- Enhancing school infrastructure to improve learning and recreational facilities, including opportunities for out-of-school-hours use.
- Supporting projects that improve access to services for multicultural communities.
- Infrastructure upgrades for community organisations that deliver services to people with a disability, homelessness, domestic violence, and family support
