Community Building Partnership (CBP) 2026 Grant Program - Willoughby

Welcome to the CBP 2026 Program for the Electoral District of Willoughby. This program provides an opportunity for local community organisations and councils to strengthen the wellbeing of NSW communities through small local infrastructure projects.

The local Member of Parliament (MP) has prepared the below summary of the electoral district priorities to provide guidance to applicants considering lodging an Expression of Interest (EOI) for 2026 CBP funding in the electoral district of Willoughby.

Electoral District Priorities

Willoughby is a fast-growing and highly multicultural electorate with significant population increases forecast around local centres. Residential development and rapid growth are placing pressure on local infrastructure, open space, sporting and recreational facilities, community hubs and the natural environment. Our community is diverse and faithful with a large proportion of residents from non-English-speaking backgrounds and many families balancing cost-of-living pressures, commutes and limited access to local services.

Priorities for funding through the Community Building Partnership program include:

  • Projects that expand or upgrade community, sporting and recreational facilities to ensure access to open space, active lifestyles and community connection.
  • Infrastructure that supports multicultural communities, strengthens social cohesion and faith and provides safe, welcoming places for culturally and linguistically diverse groups.
  • Improvements to community meeting places and organisations that foster social connection, given the important role they play in supporting wellbeing and bringing people together.
  • Projects that enhance local environment, safety and liveability, including accessibility improvements, green spaces and facilities that connect neighbours, families and friends.
  • Upgrades to educational and youth facilities, including spaces that support learning, inclusion and out-of school-hours activities
