Community Building Partnership (CBP) 2026 Grant Program - Wallsend

Welcome to the CBP 2026 Program for the Electoral District of Wallsend. This program provides an opportunity for local community organisations and councils to strengthen the wellbeing of NSW communities through small local infrastructure projects.

The local Member of Parliament (MP) has prepared the below summary of the electoral district priorities to provide guidance to applicants considering lodging an Expression of Interest (EOI) for 2026 CBP funding in the electoral district of Wallsend.

Electoral District Priorities

The Wallsend electorate is a diverse, growing and multi demographic community.

Priorities for funding through the CBP program include:

  • Projects that improve infrastructure for the community to utilise.
  • Projects that support the promotion of greater cohesion amongst diverse members of culturally diverse, religious, socio-economic, age, gender and ability backgrounds.
  • Projects that support and promote the uptake or continuation of healthy lifestyles. All sections of the community deserve access to nutritious food and healthy sporting or athletic endeavours. This includes the promotion of women's sport and sport overall including sporting infrastructure
  • Projects that assist the most needy in our electorate such as food assistance programs, community kitchens and meal delivery programs.
  • Projects that assist the most vulnerable in our community such as victims of domestic violence, the homeless or those experiencing poverty or crisis as well as sectors of the community who simply need a leg- up such as young families.
  • Projects that support engagement of different age groups. Organisations that assist the aged, youth, schools, early education, P&C’s and senior programs are encouraged.
  • Projects that recognise and acknowledge our history and heritage.
  • Projects that will improve environmental or energy outcomes for the electorate including the provision of solar panels, LED lighting or batteries.
  • It is important that the CBP program funds grants across the electorate.
