Community Building Partnership (CBP) 2026 Grant Program - Wakehurst
Welcome to the CBP 2026 Program for the Electoral District of Wakehurst. This program provides an opportunity for local community organisations and councils to strengthen the wellbeing of NSW communities through small local infrastructure projects.
The local Member of Parliament (MP) has prepared the below summary of the electoral district priorities to provide guidance to applicants considering lodging an Expression of Interest (EOI) for 2026 CBP funding in the electoral district of Wakehurst.
Electoral District Priorities
General, non-conclusive priorities for the 2026 Community Building Partnership round include:
- Sport and recreation infrastructure that supports active lifestyles, including upgrades to playing fields, courts, lighting and amenities, with a focus on women’s and girls’ facilities and accessibility.
- Flood-proofing and resilience works for sporting fields and facilities, such as drainage and surface upgrades, To reduce cancellations and weather-related disruptions.
- Coastal and waterways infrastructure that supports safety and participation, including surf lifesaving facilities, clubhouses, storage and training spaces, and upgrades along the coast.
- Education and youth facilities that enhance learning, wellbeing and recreation in schools, preschools, childcare centres and youth programs.
- Inclusive community spaces that meet the needs of people of all ages and abilities, including community centres, neighbourhood houses, and halls.
- Infrastructure support for volunteer, cultural, multicultural, LGBTQIA+ and First Nations organisations, and groups delivering mental health and social connection programs.
- Projects that improve energy efficiency and sustainability, including solar panels, battery storage, and smart energy systems.
- Environmental resilience and natural disaster preparedness.
