Community Building Partnership (CBP) 2026 Grant Program - Tweed

Welcome to the CBP 2026 Program for the Electoral District of Tweed. This program provides an opportunity for local community organisations and councils to strengthen the wellbeing of NSW communities through small local infrastructure projects.

The local Member of Parliament (MP) has prepared the below summary of the electoral district priorities to provide guidance to applicants considering lodging an Expression of Interest (EOI) for 2026 CBP funding in the electoral district of Tweed.

Electoral District Priorities

The Tweed Electorate encompasses a wide and diverse community, characterised by a mix of interests, cultures and backgrounds. Tweed is home to a significant cohort of senior constituents but is experiencing an influx of young families.

The population is rapidly growing, with 10,000 new homes sites approved and large-scale housing developments in the pipeline. This future population growth will put pressure on existing infrastructure and see a need for additional community assets.

Funding priorities include but are not limited to:

  • Projects to upgrade local sports and recreation facilities e.g. surf clubs, bowls clubs, sports fields, sports clubs
  • Projects to support community health and wellbeing
  • Projects to support arts, culture and churches
  • Upgrades to community facilities
  • Multicultural programs
  • First Nations projects
  • Disaster recovery projects and emergency services
  • Youth programs
  • Projects to boost disability inclusion and social wellbeing
  • Domestic violence prevention and support programs
  • Mental health and resilience building
  • Biodiversity and habitat restoration
  • Inclusive and active transport projects
  • Aged care support
  • Safe and accessible educational and school-based projects
  • Projects to support community groups and or volunteer organisations
