Community Building Partnership (CBP) 2026 Grant Program - Swansea

Welcome to the CBP 2026 Program for the Electoral District of Swansea. This program provides an opportunity for local community organisations and councils to strengthen the wellbeing of NSW communities through small local infrastructure projects.

The local Member of Parliament (MP) has prepared the below summary of the electoral district priorities to provide guidance to applicants considering lodging an Expression of Interest (EOI) for 2026 CBP funding in the electoral district of Swansea.

Electoral District Priorities

The Swansea Electorate has a large, rapidly growing population, with continued growth expected. New housing developments are placing significant pressure on community facilities and organisations as they work to deliver essential services and support community engagement. Positioned between the lake and the ocean, our area hosts many groups focused on community involvement and safety, including surf clubs and sporting organisations.

Our CBP funding priorities include:

  • Upgrades to community infrastructure—such as halls, clubhouses and sporting facilities—to improve participation across all demographics, including people with mobility or other access needs.
  • Infrastructure upgrades, freestanding equipment, and vehicle purchases that support active, healthy lifestyles across sporting groups, surf clubs, public swimming pools, and youth engagement organisations.
  • Enhanced learning and recreational facilities/equipment in our schools and pre-schools that will support engagement of youth, additionally projects that enhance the inclusion of our growing multi-categorical student population
  • Infrastructure upgrades to community facilities that respond to natural disasters such as bushfires.
  • Projects that support community identity and the community outreach services they provide.
  • Projects that provide green and open spaces and shared community activities including improving and maintaining our waterways
