Community Building Partnership (CBP) 2026 Grant Program - Summer Hill

Welcome to the CBP 2026 Program for the Electoral District of Summer Hill. This program provides an opportunity for local community organisations and councils to strengthen the wellbeing of NSW communities through small local infrastructure projects.

The local Member of Parliament (MP) has prepared the below summary of the electoral district priorities to provide guidance to applicants considering lodging an Expression of Interest (EOI) for 2026 CBP funding in the electoral district of Summer Hill.

Electoral District Priorities

Summer Hill is a vibrant, multicultural, growing electorate. With new housing developments bringing more residents and pressure on local infrastructure increasing, we must make sure all neighbourhoods benefit from improvements. Diversity is a strength, and projects should reflect inclusivity, accessibility and wellbeing.

  • Support projects that foster multicultural engagement, provide culturally safe meeting places, and encourage social connection to reduce isolation and loneliness, supporting mental wellbeing for people of all ages and backgrounds.
  • Make better use of existing and underutilised spaces by adapting and updating facilities for enhanced or multi-purpose use and improved accessibility, to serve a wider range of community activities, services and groups, particularly young people and older people.
  • Protect and enhance green spaces and sporting and education facilities to provide opportunities for recreation, relaxation, learning, and community events, ensuring these assets are accessible and welcoming for everyone.
  • Upgrade infrastructure to be more resilient and sustainable, responding to climate change and frequent severe weather, including flooding, so facilities remain safe and usable for all.
  • Enhancement of the cultural and educational value and purpose of existing and new spaces
  • Ensure improvements and investments are spread evenly across the electorate, so all neighbourhoods benefit from upgraded infrastructure and community resources.
