Community Building Partnership (CBP) 2026 Grant Program - Ryde

Welcome to the CBP 2026 Program for the Electoral District of Ryde. This program provides an opportunity for local community organisations and councils to strengthen the wellbeing of NSW communities through small local infrastructure projects.

The local Member of Parliament (MP) has prepared the below summary of the electoral district priorities to provide guidance to applicants considering lodging an Expression of Interest (EOI) for 2026 CBP funding in the electoral district of Ryde.

Electoral District Priorities

The Ryde electorate is a growing, diverse and highly connected community experiencing increased demand on its local infrastructure due to population growth, higher density housing and changing demographics, including a growing aging population and culturally diverse communities.

Our priorities include:

  • Development and renewal of versatile, accessible community spaces such as halls, clubrooms and meeting venues
  • Facilities that strengthen community connection, including improved lighting for evening and after-hours use
  • Upgrades to local sporting and active recreation infrastructure
  • Works that enhance resilience to heat, climate change, bushfire and flooding risks, including the creation of cool refuge areas
  • Improved learning, play and recreation environments that can be accessed outside standard hours
  • Infrastructure that supports culturally and linguistically diverse communities and recently arrived residents, including culturally safe and inclusive spaces
  • Creation and enhancement of spaces that promote shared community use, wellbeing and active lifestyles
  • Support for youth organisations, cultural and community groups, and family-focused gathering places
  • Equitable distribution of funding across both high-density areas and smaller neighbourhoods within the electorate
  • Refurbishment and upgrade of places of worship to strengthen community identity and delivery of outreach services
  • Infrastructure that enhances before and after school care, early learning
