Riverstone - CBP 2026
Community Building Partnership (CBP) 2026 Grant Program - Riverstone
Welcome to the CBP 2026 Program for the Electoral District of Riverstone. This program provides an opportunity for local community organisations and councils to strengthen the wellbeing of NSW communities through small local infrastructure projects.
The local Member of Parliament (MP) has prepared the below summary of the electoral district priorities to provide guidance to applicants considering lodging an Expression of Interest (EOI) for 2026 CBP funding in the electoral district of Riverstone.
Electoral District Priorities
Riverstone's population is growing rapidly and forecast to increase over coming decades. It is comprised mostly of young families who face regular long commutes for work, education, and recreation. New housing developments have placed a strain on existing community facilities.
The electorate is culturally diverse, with 40% speaking a language other than English. Socio-economic disparities exist. Recent natural disasters have impacted both residents and community infrastructure.
Priorities for the Community Building Partnership Program focus on infrastructure initiatives to promote community identity and cohesion across the Riverstone electorate that:
- Are flexible and appropriate for a variety of users - young families, children, youth, older people and people with mobility and access issues.
- Promote youth engagement through enhanced facilities within schools, meeting places, youth organisations, sporting facilities and cultural groups that can also offer after school and evening use.
- Support active, healthy lifestyles and shared community activities through upgrades to open space, parks, play and sporting facilities and equipment.
- Preserve and upgrade our historical buildings for ongoing community use.
- Provide culturally safe meeting places that support service delivery for our culturally and linguistically diverse community.
- Provide places of refuge during heat waves and climate extremes through upgrades to community spaces and facilities
