Community Building Partnership (CBP) 2026 Grant Program - Prospect
Welcome to the CBP 2026 Program for the Electoral District of Prospect. This program provides an opportunity for local community organisations and councils to strengthen the wellbeing of NSW communities through small local infrastructure projects.
The local Member of Parliament (MP) has prepared the below summary of the electoral district priorities to provide guidance to applicants considering lodging an Expression of Interest (EOI) for 2026 CBP funding in the electoral district of Prospect.
Electoral District Priorities
The Electorate of Prospect is characterised by a large and growing multi-cultural population, with newly arrived migrants and is the most culturally diverse community in NSW. The Electorate a has high level of refugees, communities from the Middle East, Africia, the Caucasus and Sri Lanka persecuted for their Christian faith. The electorate has a higher than average portion of young families with a large population who are under 25 years of age. Over 60% of our population speak a language other than English at home. The electorate has a growing population of young professionals creating pockets of above average wealth in certain suburbs.
Priorities for funding through the CBP grant program include:
- Projects that will improve the infrastructure that supports the delivery of services to multicultural communities, new migrants, refugees. This could include a range of services that encourage community cohesion, support language schools, and provide culturally safe meeting places.
- Infrastructure upgrade to our varied places of religious worship to support community identity and the community outreach services they provide
- Projects that support active and healthy lifestyles. This could include sporting facilities and equipment, cycle and walking paths or park upgrades.
- Projects that support the engagement of our youth. This could include sporting facilities, enhanced learning and play facilities in our schools.
