Community Building Partnership (CBP) 2026 Grant Program - Port Macquarie

Welcome to the CBP 2026 Program for the Electoral District of Port Macquarie. This program provides an opportunity for local community organisations and councils to strengthen the wellbeing of NSW communities through small local infrastructure projects.

The local Member of Parliament (MP) has prepared the below summary of the electoral district priorities to provide guidance to applicants considering lodging an Expression of Interest (EOI) for 2026 CBP funding in the electoral district of Port Macquarie.

Electoral District Priorities

Investing in community infrastructure is essential to building inclusive, active, and connected communities.

Priority areas include delivering modern, durable playing fields/sporting facilities for young people, along with upgraded learning and recreational spaces in schools, that can be shared with the broader community outside school hours.

Strengthening before and after school care, pre-school and childcare facilities is critical to supporting families and working parents. Infrastructure that enables youth groups, seniors’ organisations, cultural communities, and families to come together in safe, welcoming and accessible spaces is also a key focus.

Projects that create or enhance green, open areas, and that encourage active lifestyles and community participation.

Infrastructure upgrades that offer flexibility and multi-use capacity are important, especially in smaller towns throughout the electorate.

Ensuring accessibility for older people, and those with mobility challenges must remain a core design principle to achieve genuine inclusion in this area.

Preserving the region’s heritage also remains a priority. Targeted upgrades to historical buildings help safeguard these assets while ensuring they remain functional and relevant for future generations.

Equitable distribution of CBP funding across the entire electorate is essential so that all towns and communities can benefit from high-quality facilities, reflecting local needs and aspirations
