Parramatta - CBP 2026
Community Building Partnership (CBP) 2026 Grant Program - Parramatta
Welcome to the CBP 2026 Program for the Electoral District of Parramatta. This program provides an opportunity for local community organisations and councils to strengthen the wellbeing of NSW communities through small local infrastructure projects.
The local Member of Parliament (MP) has prepared the below summary of the electoral district priorities to provide guidance to applicants considering lodging an Expression of Interest (EOI) for 2026 CBP funding in the electoral district of Parramatta.
Electoral District Priorities
Our Electorate is one of the fastest growing in NSW. It has the largest population and is the most culturally diverse electorate in NSW with over 57% of the population born overseas and 60.5% speaking a language other than English at home. This is coupled with the second youngest population of any electorate and the second highest percentage of renters in the state. Due to our location and status as the second CBD of Sydney, we face a constant struggle to provide resources to support both our own population and those from across West and North West Sydney. Priorities for funding through the CBP grant program include:
- Projects that support our youth including sporting and creative arts facilities, youth centres as well as community outreach services to improve engagement
- Projects that will improve the infrastructure that supports the delivery of services to multicultural communities, especially recently arrived migrants including services that encourage community cohesion, support language classes, culturally safe meeting places.
- Projects that support health lifestyles including formal and informal sporting activities, dance and performance as well as park upgrades and active transport.
- Youth performance and rehearsal spaces - especially for under 18s.
- Environmental projects that address urban heat and climate change.
