Community Building Partnership (CBP) 2026 Grant Program - Murray

Welcome to the CBP 2026 Program for the Electoral District of Murray. This program provides an opportunity for local community organisations and councils to strengthen the wellbeing of NSW communities through small local infrastructure projects.

The local Member of Parliament (MP) has prepared the below summary of the electoral district priorities to provide guidance to applicants considering lodging an Expression of Interest (EOI) for 2026 CBP funding in the electoral district of Murray.

Electoral District Priorities

Our Electorate spans a vast area where long travel for health, education, sport and work is routine. Our multicultural communities face the same challenges of distance and limited services. Community clubs, volunteers, and school P&Cs continue to face cost pressures that restrict support. Agriculture remains central to our economy, yet devastating water policy has deeply affected farming families, councils and reduced local services across the region.

Project priorities for CBP funding include:

  • Improve water quality - including towns, reduce blue green algae, manage carp and strengthen river monitoring and treatment.
  • Improve infrastructure - roads, rail, bridges, digital connectivity, wellbeing facilities and public charging points.
  • Enable access to facilities that support visiting services and community transport.
  • Upgrade and increase services for health, education, disability and seniors – including equipment for outreach, carer/respite spaces, ramps, hearing loops and inclusive changerooms, including for people with Motor Neurone Disease.
  • Support for active lifestyles and community participation – including courts, ovals, lighting and play spaces that lift youth.
  • Strengthen inclusion - upgrades for multicultural communities and culturally safe meeting places, language support and community events.
  • Boost disaster readiness and support for drought, bushfire and floods.
  • Preserve heritage assets and upgrade halls
