Maitland - CBP 2026
Community Building Partnership (CBP) 2026 Grant Program - Maitland
Welcome to the CBP 2026 Program for the Electoral District of Maitland. This program provides an opportunity for local community organisations and councils to strengthen the wellbeing of NSW communities through small local infrastructure projects.
The local Member of Parliament (MP) has prepared the below summary of the electoral district priorities to provide guidance to applicants considering lodging an Expression of Interest (EOI) for 2026 CBP funding in the electoral district of Maitland.
Electoral District Priorities
Maitland is the fastest-growing regional city in New South Wales and is projected to continue on this strong growth trajectory over the next decade. Our community is diverse, and it is a high priority to ensure that all community groups have access to the funding they need to thrive.
Priorities for funding through the CBP grant program include:
- Youth-focused projects that provide safe, welcoming places for young people to gather outside school hours, including community halls, sporting groups, and recreational facilities.
- Infrastructure projects that support the maintenance and improvement of community spaces, such as clubhouses and meeting facilities especially those serving older residents or people with mobility and accessibility needs.
- Initiatives supporting disadvantaged individuals, including people experiencing homelessness, survivors of domestic and family violence, and community members facing hardship.
- Preservation and restoration projects for sites of historical significance, ensuring they remain accessible and valued for future generations.
- Sporting organisations and clubs seeking to upgrade facilities, undertake maintenance, or purchase new equipment to support participation and community engagement.
- Programs that foster social inclusion and community cohesion, including multicultural initiatives, accessibility improvements, and events that bring the community together.
