Macquarie Fields - CBP 2026
Community Building Partnership (CBP) 2026 Grant Program - Macquarie Fields
Welcome to the CBP 2026 Program for the Electoral District of Macquarie Fields. This program provides an opportunity for local community organisations and councils to strengthen the wellbeing of NSW communities through small local infrastructure projects.
The local Member of Parliament (MP) has prepared the below summary of the electoral district priorities to provide guidance to applicants considering lodging an Expression of Interest (EOI) for 2026 CBP funding in the electoral district of Macquarie Fields.
Electoral District Priorities
Our fast-growing electorate has a diverse population, with more than 40 per cent of residents born overseas and 49 per cent of the population speaking a language other than English at home. The electorate is a unique mix of established suburbs and growth areas, where in recent years new housing developments and urban communities have emerged.
Our electorate is relatively young and lower socio-economic with large numbers of people commuting long distances to work. Low-cost, accessible recreational and sporting activities are essential given the electorate is located some 50 kilometres south-west of Sydney.
Our priorities for CBP funding include:
- Infrastructure that enhances educational facilities, including our local schools, before and after school facilities and pre-school or childcare facilities.
- Enhanced recreational facilities, including local parks, playgrounds, cycle and walking paths, and sporting facilities.
- Projects that support the engagement of our youth including clubs, cultural groups and meeting places for families.
- Infrastructure upgrades to our varied places of worship to support community identity and the community outreach services they provide.
- Projects that support the delivery of infrastructure for groups that foster community connection and promote wellbeing.
- Projects that support transportation of our elderly, people with disability and carers to increase social participation.
