Kiama - CBP 2026
Community Building Partnership (CBP) 2026 Grant Program - Kiama
Welcome to the CBP 2026 Program for the Electoral District of Kiama. This program provides an opportunity for local community organisations and councils to strengthen the wellbeing of NSW communities through small local infrastructure projects.
The local Member of Parliament (MP) has prepared the below summary of the electoral district priorities to provide guidance to applicants considering lodging an Expression of Interest (EOI) for 2026 CBP funding in the electoral district of Kiama.
Electoral District Priorities
Our electorate is growing, with 7,000 new residents expected to move in by 2041. We have an aging population and the challenge of meeting the social, medical, and service needs of this community alongside the need for significant investment to attract and support younger workers and families moving to the area should be the focus of our electorate priorities. We must build communities, not just more housing. Broad investment through CBP grants can help make our region attractive, liveable, safe, and resilient.
We need investment in diverse community infrastructure including: councils facilities and sporting grounds, organisations delivering social services and community infrastructure, updated and accessible facilities/equipment for sporting clubs, funding and tackling social isolation, P&Cs supporting school facilities and initiatives, organisations maintaining rural connections, volunteer emergency services prepared for natural disasters, cultural organisations supporting inclusion, disability organisations supporting social cohesion and workforce participation, organisations supporting grassroots sporting development, asset renewal and capital works upgrades for local community organisations or advocacy groups, and faith-based organisations providing community services. This list is not exhaustive, a broad approach can ensure every community member—regardless of age, ability, or location—can access spaces that build connection, supports health and creates belonging
