Community Building Partnership (CBP) 2026 Grant Program - Hornsby

Welcome to the CBP 2026 Program for the Electoral District of Hornsby. This program provides an opportunity for local community organisations and councils to strengthen the wellbeing of NSW communities through small local infrastructure projects.

The local Member of Parliament (MP) has prepared the below summary of the electoral district priorities to provide guidance to applicants considering lodging an Expression of Interest (EOI) for 2026 CBP funding in the electoral district of Hornsby.

Electoral District Priorities

The Hornsby electorate is a large geographic area with a significant population of young families engaged in multiple aspects of community life. Hornsby has a big heart and is proud to be home to a number of charitable organisations that serve the wider Northern Sydney area. Priorities for CBP grant funding include:

  • Projects to improve local primary schools. Grant funding should be co-invested with P&C-raised funds to help improve school grounds and provide school communities with the additional and unique features that make each school special.
  • Projects for sporting clubs to address a capital works backlog that has arisen in recent years due to the increase in registered players across various sports and the rise in women’s participation. These projects also support youth engagement.
  • Support for charitable organisations that serve the disadvantaged. These groups help address social and other issues for which community service providers and local charities offer excellent support.
  • It is important that CBP grants fund projects across the various villages and suburbs that form the Hornsby electorate
