Granville - CBP 2026
Community Building Partnership (CBP) 2026 Grant Program - Granville
Welcome to the CBP 2026 Program for the Electoral District of Granville. This program provides an opportunity for local community organisations and councils to strengthen the wellbeing of NSW communities through small local infrastructure projects.
The local Member of Parliament (MP) has prepared the below summary of the electoral district priorities to provide guidance to applicants considering lodging an Expression of Interest (EOI) for 2026 CBP funding in the electoral district of Granville.
Electoral District Priorities
The electorate is one of NSW’s most culturally and religiously diverse, with significant new arrivals from overseas, established migrant communities, and strongly connected faith-based communities.
Demographic indicators show a high proportion of households speaking a language other than English, strong intergenerational family structures, and above-average socio-economic disadvantage in several suburbs.
Local community organisations consistently highlight gaps in accessible community spaces, along with the need for facilities that are culturally appropriate, welcoming, and safe for families, seniors, and recently arrived residents.
Electorate priorities for CBP funding include:
- Upgrading community centres, neighbourhood facilities and faith-adjacent community spaces that support multicultural groups, women’s groups, and newly arrived migrants to connect, learn and participate.
- Infrastructure that promotes social cohesion and wellbeing, including arts, cultural, and interfaith community spaces, reflecting the electorate’s strong religious and cultural diversity.
- Enhancing safety, accessibility, disability access and health outcomes, through improved lighting, shade, footpaths, heat-mitigation, accessible amenities and disability access.
- Support for seniors, including upgrades that enable social connection among culturally diverse older residents.
- Youth and family infrastructure, including informal recreation spaces, playground renewals and sporting facilities.
