Epping - CBP 2026
Community Building Partnership (CBP) 2026 Grant Program - Epping
Welcome to the CBP 2026 Program for the Electoral District of Epping. This program provides an opportunity for local community organisations and councils to strengthen the wellbeing of NSW communities through small local infrastructure projects.
The local Member of Parliament (MP) has prepared the below summary of the electoral district priorities to provide guidance to applicants considering lodging an Expression of Interest (EOI) for 2026 CBP funding in the electoral district of Epping.
Electoral District Priorities
The Epping electorate is a growing electorate with a broad mix of population characteristics including young families, older people, working professionals. Increased density and population growth has put pressure on existing facilities and has created more need for open spaces, for upgraded schools and community facilities. The electorate has many families with children that participate in sporting and other activities; these families and children would benefit from enhanced facilities that would deepen their engagement with the community; there is also opportunity for families who do not currently participate in community activities to join because of enhanced community facilities. There are many active community groups who would benefit from enhanced community spaces that could help them better serve community members while also bringing in new participants.
Priorities for funding through the CBP program include
- Projects to support schools including but not limited to upgrades to school equipment, canteens, sporting facilities and any other projects that are supported by parent-led school community groups to enhance school facilities
- Projects that enhance existing community spaces including to make spaces multi-purpose or for multi-use or create new community spaces
- Projects for community spaces, including where those spaces support groups to participate in the community
- Projects that enhance existing community facilities and can broaden the offering from community groups
- Projects that allow community groups to better serve their existing community as well as attract new community members
- Projects to support community pre-schools that support community pre-schools to play a key role in their community, including by upgrading their facilities, equipment or family spaces
- Projects related to sporting facilities, particularly where that may help encourage ongoing participation or new participation by families and households across the Epping electorate
