Community Building Partnership (CBP) 2026 Grant Program - Blacktown

Welcome to the CBP 2026 Program for the Electoral District of Blacktown. This program provides an opportunity for local community organisations and councils to strengthen the wellbeing of NSW communities through small local infrastructure projects.

The local Member of Parliament (MP) has prepared the below summary of the electoral district priorities to provide guidance to applicants considering lodging an Expression of Interest (EOI) for CBP funding in the electoral district of Blacktown.

Electoral District Priorities

Blacktown is an area of opportunity demonstrated by the success of multiculturalism and inspired youth.

However, unfortunately the region is also challenged by often intergenerational and socio economic underprivilege impacted by domestic violence, crime, mental health issues, educational challenges resulting in people experiencing risk factors including being caught up in criminal activities if appropriate and timely intervention services are not readily accessible.

Challenges are addressed by services delivered by a range of charitable, not for profit organisations and community groups who have a genuine desire to provide access and equity to services most needed by vulnerable populations. Issues of importance include access to provision of food and services provided by local charity groups; provision of communities activities, sports, health, cultural and arts (performance or artistic) participation. General community activities and access to social supports, counselling and associated support services and the importance of both secular, faith-based and multicultural clubs/organisations, and Aboriginal connection are hugely valued by the Blacktown community and are key support services for those who choose to live, work, study and embed themselves in our community.

Projects that enhance existing or delivers new infrastructure to support built form, facilities, equipment or mobile assets which improves the Blacktown community are welcomed.
