Community Building Partnership (CBP) 2026 Grant Program - Bathurst

Welcome to the CBP 2026 Program for the Electoral District of Bathurst. This program provides an opportunity for local community organisations and councils to strengthen the wellbeing of NSW communities through small local infrastructure projects.

The local Member of Parliament (MP) has prepared the below summary of the electoral district priorities to provide guidance to applicants considering lodging an Expression of Interest (EOI) for CBP funding in the electoral district of Bathurst.

Electoral District Priorities

The Bathurst Electorate covers a large geographical area of over 14,000 square kilometres of 5 Local Government areas that include Bathurst, Blayney, Oberon, Lithgow and Rylstone and Kandos.

As we cover a large and diverse area, it is important to note that their needs to be a spread of funding across the electorate for many groups. They are made up of volunteers who gratefully benefit from smaller amounts of funding. These could include:

  • Projects to upgrade local sports and recreation facilities
  • Projects to support community health and wellbeing
  • Projects to support arts and culture
  • Accessibility upgrades to community facilities
  • Multicultural programs
  • Community asset infrastructure
  • First Nations projects
  • Heritage preservation
  • Disaster recovery projects
  • Youth programs
  • Projects to support better access to Before and After School care
  • Projects to boost social inclusion and wellbeing
  • Projects to support disability inclusion
  • Domestic violence prevention and support programs
  • Mental health and resilience building
  • Biodiversity and habitat restoration
  • Active transport projects
  • Aged care community projects
  • Parents and Citizens (P&C) projects
  • Projects to support community groups and or volunteer organisations
